What is Mooral?
In Sangam Tamil, the ancient form of Tamil spoken over 2000 years ago, Mooral means two things:
1. Soru. (Rice. Food.)
2. Magizhchi. (Joy. Comfort. Happiness.)
That’s what Mooral is about: food that brings happiness. The kind that’s simple, familiar, and made with care.
What We Do
Mooral is a home kitchen based in the Netherlands.
We cook on set days for a small but growing circle of families — the kind who miss food you won’t find in restaurants.
Every week, we put out one royal menu.
That’s it.
Just one carefully made box to look forward to.
Who We Are
We’re from India and have been living in the Netherlands for over a decade.
We started cooking to bring back the food we missed — not the restaurant kind, but the kind that feels like home.
Now, we share it with others who feel the same way.
What Makes Mooral Different?
We don’t feed customers. We build rituals.
Our menus have a memory.
We’re not a service. We’re a circle.
We’re taste-first, not trend-first.
Our scale is small by design.
We’re for the people who “don’t usually like biryani” — until now.
We focus on one thing — making food that makes you pause, smile, and say, “this feels like home.”
